In this project, Alex created custom Venetian plaster finishes for a contemporary townhouse in Cherry Creek, Colorado.
The home’s modern design and curated art collection inspired a refined approach, using smooth, hand-troweled surfaces to create a subtle, marble-like sheen. Alex layered gentle tonal variations to add depth and warmth while maintaining a clean, gallery-like backdrop for the artwork. Natural light played softly across the finishes, enhancing their richness without dominating the space. The final result is a sophisticated, timeless interior that highlights both the home’s contemporary aesthetic and the craftsmanship behind the plaster work.

Downtown Denver

In this project, Alex was commissioned to create a Venetian plaster feature for a modern, light-filled home centered around a striking glass staircase.
The goal was to design a dramatic focal point that contrasted beautifully with the airy architecture.
Alex crafted deep grey, layered plaster finishes that added movement, shadow, and visual depth to the staircase wall. The rich tonal variations balanced the clean lines and transparency of the glass, grounding the space with a bold contemporary touch.
The result is a refined, sculptural statement that elevates the entire entryway.

Following the initial project, Alex continued his work at the Four Seasons Denver with this Modern Textured Elegance Suite.
Here, the goal was to create a fresh, luminous interior with clean, understated Venetian plaster walls. Subtle tonal variations added depth without compromising the suite’s minimalist, contemporary aesthetic. Here, the ceiling of the spacious living room in this downtown Denver multi-story building residence was transformed by Alex with Venetian plaster, enhanced by carefully integrated indirect lighting. The large, continuous plastered surface interacts with the light, creating subtle depth and a soft, luminous glow that fills the expansive space.

The effect elevates the modern interior, giving the room a quiet sophistication that complements the city views while maintaining a warm, inviting atmosphere. Traditional Suburban Family Home

Here, the modern, free-standing round staircase becomes the centerpiece of this traditional suburban family home. The outer walls surrounding the staircase were finished with light-reflecting grey tones of Venetian plaster, creating a subtle glow that enhances the natural curves and openness of the space.

The reflective plaster makes the area feel larger and more airy while adding a quiet sense of elevation and refinement.
